Become a Noble of Shuja Temple No. 281
For Master Masons called to deeper brotherhood, broader service, and a fraternity built on Bravery, Courage with Valor exhibiting Class and Distinction.
Three Reasons Master Masons Choose Shuja
Brotherhood
Join a fraternity of Master Masons committed to one another’s growth, families, and legacy. Shuja is a community that endures beyond the meeting hall.
Purposeful Service
Engage with national charitable initiatives including the NCHI, HBCU Department, and Shriners’ Aid to Mason fund, while serving our local College Park community.
Legacy
Stand in the tradition of A.E.A.O.N.M.S., founded in 1893. Carry forward 130+ years of Prince Hall Shrinedom while building something new in the Desert of Georgia.
Membership Requirements
The Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic Shrine has a single, unalterable requirement that has stood since 1893.
To Petition Shuja Temple, you must be:
- A Master Mason in good standing
- A member of a Prince Hall affiliated lodge recognized by the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge
- Of good moral character
- At least 18 years of age
- Willing to uphold the principles, traditions, and obligations of Shrinedom
The central rule: All Shriners are Masons, but not all Masons are Shriners.
If you have not yet been raised to the degree of Master Mason, we encourage you to pursue that journey first. Once you are a Master Mason in good standing, Shuja Temple welcomes your inquiry.
